Normal Monday? i think not.
SIGH.. so, today. Well, it was a Monday. Mondays can tend to be cumbersome. Today was quite interesting. Lancaster was "abuzz" if you will, with an event affectionately coined "the Amish Schoolhouse Schooting".. or something similar. Lancaster General was on a Code Green alert.. so of course in attending Lancaster General College I was aware...
In soc. class this evening.. (today became perfect subject matter to discuss at the start of class) .. WHY would someone do such a thing, unless they were psychologically incapable of realizing how crazy and socially unacceptable and horrible it is to murdur innocent little girls. Because humans are naturally good, right??
I dont think that my point of view, that this person was totally sane- was very popular. Humans are capable of horrific evils. (I explained.) This guy had a lot of hate, and acted on that hate and on that selfishness by then killing himself when he has a wife and 3 children. That's all there is to it.
I heard from a friend of mine after class who knew him... that he was perfectly normal. Yep. There's human nature on display for us all. Every single one of us is capable, and more than willing to attempt such brutality apart from the grace of God in our lives.
On a lighter note, I saw two people while driving about in my car today. (i dunno, i think its somewhat fun and it makes me all giddy.. ha!) 1) Michael Miller 2) Brighid Poplar
~Somewhat excited about my A in Soc. considering a large portion of the class did poorly.
(this weekend was fun.
Friday: Kiera, Sarah and i went to the Lampeter fair... crazinesss. haha. *cough* culture shock *cough* We then proceeded to stay up talking until 3:30 at sarah's. =)
Saturday: yardsaling.. bough some cute stuffed animals for moi. (WHAT??!! ive NEVER done that.. not even new ones!) Costco.. "a family trip" ok. im not doing that often. 6 people?? it took like 3 hours to get out of there. Went to kelsi's. It was sooo nice to just relax with a bunch of people.
Sunday: church, lunch at Toni and Traci's, Shower for the Parmers. Brothers and Sisters at 10/9central.
